A blog-turned-curated-watch-shop maximizes the story behind the watch.

The shop for watches.

The Windup Watch Shop features a carefully curated selection of watches from some of the best independent and value-driven watch companies. Here, customers easily discover their new favorite timepiece, in addition to Worn & Wound's trademark leather and nylon watch straps, carrying cases, and accessories.

The Goal

The Windup Watch Shop team had long written about watches on their Worn & Wound blog, and had noticed that many of their readers had trouble finding some of the rarer watches they featured. They decided to launch an online storefront themselves, selling those highly sought-after watches along with curated watch accessories. Good & Gold was brought on to promote these myriad brands and products across Google Shopping, Display, and Social Advertising channels.

The Strategy

For Google Shopping and Display, we focused on specific brands to crafts campaigns that promoted those watches and accessories, ensuring that customers searching for those products would visit Windup Watch Shop as their first choice to make a purchase. Because Windup Watch Shop’s products are high-value, which can cause variance in results, we also made sure that we were providing a steady stream of campaigns geared around accessories such as watch straps, ensuring positive RoAS even in slower months.

On Facebook and Instagram, we focused on broader categories and retargeting, using Facebook’s powerful interest and lookalike features to serve ads to audiences with demonstrated interested in, for example, diving or casual watches.

Windup's curated selection of sought-after watches has made an impact on all channels.
